LinkSnap Privacy Policy

Effective: October 17, 2026

LinkSnap ("the extension") works entirely inside your browser. We do not collect, sell or share your data.

What the extension accesses: When you click the LinkSnap icon, the extension reads the links (web addresses, anchor text and link attributes such as rel and target) on the tab you are viewing so it can display, filter and export them. Email (mailto:), phone (tel:) and script links are ignored. This happens locally on your device. Page content and links are never sent to us or to anyone else.

What is stored on your device: A count of exports used today (Chrome local extension storage), and, if you unlock Pro, your license key, whether it is valid, and when it was last checked (Chrome sync storage, which Chrome may sync between your own signed-in browsers).

License verification (Pro only): Pro is a one-time purchase made on Gumroad (gumroad.com). Gumroad processes your payment and email under its own privacy policy. When you paste your license key, and at most once a week afterwards, the extension sends the key and the product ID to Gumroad's license API (api.gumroad.com) only to confirm the purchase is valid. No page content, browsing data or other personal information is sent with it. We do not receive this request; Gumroad separately tells us about purchases made in our store, as with any Gumroad sale.

What we do not do: We do not collect browsing history or page content, use analytics, advertising or tracking, or run remote code.
